National Cabaret
Unbelievable. I just got skillfully reminded of exactly why I am contemplating leaving the country. Only in Germany it seems possible that you sit in a brightly sunlit kitchen, beautiful weather outside on an autumn day, and enter the roommate, shuffling his feet towards the window, and after a brisk stare into the bright sunshine producing a discontent look on his face.
"What's the matter? Are clouds coming in?"
"Na, a perfectly blue sky out there."
"Soooo, what's with the face?"
"All this sunshine will force me to leave the house. This might well be the last day of sunshine we get this year. All this planning!"
Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! Whatever happened to being content, happy, exhilarated?! It's a GORGEOUS day outside, how do German people manage to totally neglect all that joy and turn it right around into a chore?!
Is it that hard to just be happy for a moment?
